Elana James + Johnny Gimble on the new Willie Nelson, Ray Price and Merle Haggard Record "The Last of the Breed"
Release Date: March 2007

We recorded it about a year ago and it finally came out! The two-CD set from Willie Nelson called "Last of the Breed" features some great old (and new tunes).
Johnny Gimble and I play twin fiddles throughout. Some of my favorite songs on this CD (and some of the fiddle-ier ones:) "Still Water Runs the Deepest," "Please Don't Leave Me Anymore, Darlin," "Pick Me Up on Your Way Down," and "I'll Keep on Loving You." Fred Foster produced it and it sounds beautiful. I am so honored!!!

Elana James gets a cameo in the cartoon strip "Nancy" May 22, 2007

Woke up this morning to find that Guy and Brad Gilchrist included an Elana James CD in their "Nancy" comic strip today. Check it out!
This is, we are pretty sure, the new CD's--and my very own-- comic strip debut! Very exciting.
